Man, Choudry Qamar Azad Razaq Found Guilty of Intentionally Driving His Car Into a Group of Four People in Hounslow

In a very tragic incident, a driver intentionally hit four individuals after driving into them.

The perpetrator, who is pictured above, Choudry Qamar Azad Razaq, aged 25, of Westmacott Drive, Feltham, has been found guilty of four counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a trial at the Old Bailey.

This shocking incident took place on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Razaq was apprehended at Heathrow Airport about 15 hours later as he attempted to flee to Pakistan. He had been identified as the prime suspect, leading to his arrest at the airport.

Razaq, who had never passed a driving test, had been ordered to take an extended driving test due to previous convictions, but he failed to complete it.

On the evening of September 24, 2022, he spent time at a pub in Kingsley Road, Hounslow. Following the pub's closure, an altercation occurred between Razaq, his friends, and two other males.

After the altercation, Razaq got into his car and drove onto the pavement on Kingsley Road, intentionally hitting four friends who were not involved in the earlier conflict.

Tragically, Razaq wrongly assumed that these individuals were associated with the males he had clashed with earlier.

All four victims suffered severe injuries, with one of them remaining in a coma and hospitalized for several months.

Even though Razaq had only sustained a minor injury during the pub altercation and also came out unharmed from the collision, he chose to leave the scene and hide the car behind his father's garage.

Prompt investigation by Acton CID detectives led to the identification of Razaq as the driver through witness statements and CCTV footage.

Detective Constable Hollie Collins, the lead investigator, expressed the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the intentional and unprovoked attack would have lasting impacts on the victims and their families.

The quick arrest of Razaq prevented him from escaping justice by leaving the country.

The victims and their families have shown remarkable courage, resilience, and patience throughout this distressing process.

While all the victims survived, the aftermath of this incident will forever alter their lives. The verdict brings hope for some closure and peace of mind for the victims and their families.

The sentencing for Razaq is scheduled for September 29.
