Newborn Baby Buried Alive by 12 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Rivers State, Nigeria

 


In a shocking incident in Rivers State, Nigeria, twelve suspected internet fraudsters, commonly known as "Yahoo boys," have been arrested for allegedly burying a newborn baby alive. 

The heinous act took place at the Andoni waterfront in Eagle Island

Upon receiving credible information, the Port Harcourt Local Government Authority Area Security Watch, Rivers State Neighbourhood Watch, and the police collaborated to apprehend the suspects on August 23, 2023. 

The security team discovered the newborn baby boy buried in freshly disturbed ground. The suspects attempted to flee but were chased down and captured.

The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the local community and authorities. 

The case is currently under investigation by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department. 

The arrest of these individuals highlights the ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud and protect the safety and well-being of innocent lives.
