Popular NFL athlete, Robert Quinn, found himself in hot water recently when he was taken into custody shortly after a reported hit-and-run incident on Tuesday, August 15th.
According to reports from the police, they were called to the scene where they noticed significant damage to a pickup truck belonging to Robert Quinn, the former Dallas Cowboy.
The truck had allegedly collided with four cars in the neighborhood and appeared to have caused damage to a community gate.
It was revealed that after the incident, Quinn left the scene and proved hard to locate during the subsequent search.
Law enforcement officers later disclosed that they discovered a partially empty bottle of Crown Royal Apple whiskey on the truck's passenger side floorboard when they inspected the vehicle.
Quinn, aged 33 and known for his prowess on the football field, was arrested in South Carolina on Friday, August 18th.
He was taken into custody on charges related to the hit-and-run incident and assault. The football star was booked into a jail in Dorchester County around 8 AM.
Records from the court indicate that Quinn is now facing a total of seven charges linked to the episode.
Having been a prominent figure in the NFL since being selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Quinn has established himself as a skilled sack artist, with an impressive record of 102 quarterback takedowns over his 162-game career.
However, he is currently without a team after a less-than-stellar performance in the previous year with both the Chicago and Philadelphia teams.
