Urgent Search for Father Linked to 10-Year-Old Daughter's Death in the UK

The police in Pakistan are trying to catch a man linked to the passing of his 10-year-old daughter in the United Kingdom, as shared by officials in the eastern Punjab province on Saturday.

A young girl named Sara Sharif was found lifeless at her residence in Woking, a place just outside London, on August 10, as revealed by the U.K. police.

The authorities want to talk to her father, Urfan, his partner, Beinash Batool, and Urfan’s brother, Faisal Malik, to aid their investigation.

Although the exact cause of death wasn't determined by the autopsy, it did expose that Sara had experienced "numerous and extensive injuries, which seem to have occurred over an extended period," according to the police statement.

Urfan Sharif, accompanied by Batool and Malik, travelled to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on August 9.

They were accompanied by five children, whose ages range from 1 to 13, as reported in the statement.

The Sharif family's original home is in Jhelum, Punjab, which is about 135 kilometers (approximately 84 miles) from the capital.

Officer Imran Ahmed stated that evidence indicates Sharif briefly visited Jhelum and then disappeared.

In another account from Officer Nisar Ahmed in Jhelum, it was noted that Sharif's family had relocated from their native village of Kari around two decades ago.

Collaboration between U.K. police and international organizations, such as Interpol, the National Crime Agency, and the U.K. Foreign Office, is ongoing to advance their inquiries with Pakistani authorities.
