Arrest Made in Fatal Queens Nightclub Shooting: Suspect Charged with Murder

In Queens, New York, one of the two men allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old Florida man outside a nightclub in April has been apprehended and charged with murder, according to prosecutors.

Christopher King, a 31-year-old Long Island resident, was arrested in Georgia on August 16 and subsequently extradited to New York. He now faces indictment in the shooting death of Jevaughn Jeminson, as confirmed by the Queens District Attorney’s Office.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of April 8 outside the Pure Lounge nightclub in St. Albans, where King and his still-at-large accomplice are accused of firing a total of 20 rounds at Jeminson. Prosecutors assert that the suspects had been inside the club with the victim just minutes before the deadly confrontation.

Around 2:05 a.m., Jeminson left the Pure Lounge, and the two alleged gunmen followed him.

According to the district attorney’s office, King brandished a firearm, while the second suspect engaged in a brief verbal exchange with Jeminson before also drawing his weapon and opening fire. The victim attempted to flee as the two assailants pursued him, continuously discharging their firearms until he fell to the ground.

King's accomplice approached the wounded Jeminson on the ground and allegedly continued shooting.

After briefly walking away, he returned to the victim and fired additional rounds, as detailed by prosecutors.

Exclusive video footage obtained by The Post captured the harrowing incident, depicting Jeminson bleeding on the sidewalk. He was swiftly transported to Jamaica Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The district attorney's office revealed that Jeminson had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including to the stomach, head, face, back, upper chest, and arm.

Following the shooting, King and the other suspect fled the scene in a BMW sedan. Subsequently, the BMW was located by the police after executing a search warrant at King's residence.

It was noted that when King and his partner initially attempted to enter the club before the shooting, King was permitted entry, but his armed companion was denied access after security frisked them, as evidenced by surveillance footage. The other suspect later returned, underwent a second search, and was allowed inside.

King, who was arraigned on Friday, faces additional charges of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

If convicted, he could be sentenced to 25 years to life.
