Forbes 30 Under 30 Tech CEO Found Dead: EcoMap Founder Pava LaPere's Mysterious Demise Shocks Baltimore Community

A young female tech CEO, recognized on Forbes' prestigious 30 under 30 list, was tragically discovered deceased in her Baltimore apartment, bearing signs of blunt-force injuries, following her disappearance.

Pava LaPere, aged 26 and the founder of EcoMap, was located within her upscale apartment in Mount Vernon by the police on Monday morning, shortly after she was reported as missing. Authorities reported that she had sustained injuries consistent with blunt-force trauma.

The local medical examiner's office took custody of the victim's remains as part of the investigation. At this point, it remains unclear if there were any visitors to LaPere's apartment before her untimely demise. 

Her social media profiles indicate that she was currently single.

Residents of the building, including tenant Chris McNees, expressed shock and dismay over the incident. McNees shared, "That's pretty horrifying. I mean, just for that to happen anywhere in the city is obviously a bad thing, but it's hard to imagine why this would happen specifically in this building."

Notably, the Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree resided in the former Congress Hotel, now transformed into apartments. Rental rates for one-bedroom apartments in this complex are approximately $1,500 per month, as per the management company Zahlco.

Pava LaPere embarked on her journey as an eco-entrepreneur from her dorm room at Johns Hopkins University. 

Her company's mission revolves around making ecosystem information accessible to all through cutting-edge technology for ecosystem digitization.
