Heartbreaking Quadruple Homicide Of 4 Family Members Shakes Romeoville, Illinois

A tragic quadruple murder in Romeoville, Illinois, involving two adults and their two young children has sent shockwaves through the community. The authorities have stated that this horrifying incident was not a random act of violence.

Deputy Chief Chris Burne of the Romeoville Police Department held a press conference on Tuesday, revealing that investigators are diligently sifting through a substantial amount of evidence related to the untimely deaths of Alberto Rolon, 38, Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, and their two sons, aged 9 and 7.

All four family members were found lifeless, each suffering from gunshot wounds, and even their three dogs were tragically shot to death.

Deputy Chief Burne emphasized that this was not a random occurrence and assured the community that there was no need for a shelter-in-place order. The deaths are now officially being treated as homicides.

The investigation to identify the perpetrator, who fled the scene on the 500 Block of Concord Avenue, is the top priority for the Romeoville police force. Deputy Chief Burne praised the dedication of their officers and professional staff, who have been tirelessly working on the case.

Additionally, the Will County Major Task Force has been enlisted to assist in collecting evidence and reviewing video footage. The community has also played a crucial role by providing valuable information and evidence.

During the press conference, Mayor John Noak expressed his condolences to the grieving family, acknowledging the profound pain that accompanies the loss of children. He emphasized their commitment to conducting a thorough investigation and assured that all available resources are being allocated to ensure justice for the victims.

The initial discovery was made when officers conducted a well-being check on the suburban Chicago home on Sunday evening.

The victims are believed to have been fatally shot sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday.

Deputy Chief Burne clarified that it has been definitively ruled out that the perpetrator is among the victims, dispelling any notions of a murder-suicide.

With more than 18 hours having elapsed since the tragic incident and no further crimes reported, the authorities do not consider an ongoing threat to the community.

They urge anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to contact the Romeoville Police Department at (815) 886-7219.
