In Chicago, a suspect is now facing murder charges following a tragic incident where he allegedly broke into a 53-year-old woman's home and caused her death on a Saturday.
Marvin Wells (pictured above), a 59-year-old Chicago resident, has been charged with first-degree murder, home invasion resulting in serious bodily harm, armed robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
According to reports from FOX 32 Chicago, the break-in occurred before 8 a.m. on the fateful Saturday.
During this incident, the 53-year-old victim tragically lost her life, although the precise details of her passing have not been disclosed by the police.
The Chicago Police Department provided a statement to Fox News Digital, explaining that Wells was identified as the perpetrator responsible for forcibly entering a residence in the 4200 block of W. Adams St (11th District) on September 2, 2023, resulting in the fatal injury of the 53-year-old woman.
Additionally, it was revealed that the offender was found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Following his arrest, Wells was promptly booked into jail and faced immediate charges.
As of now, no further information is available, but the Chicago Police Department is actively conducting an investigation into this tragic incident.
