Georgia Jailbreak: Four Inmates on the Loose, Sparking Manhunt

Four prisoners, including a man facing murder charges, pulled off a daring escape from a rundown Georgia jail by busting through a busted window. As of now, these escapees are still out there, causing quite a stir.

It all went down around 3 a.m. on Monday, and they made a run for it after cutting a fence at the oldest part of the Bibb County Detention Center. Sheriff David Davis gave the lowdown during a press conference, saying, "These inmates were able to leave out of a day room window, the oldest, run-down section of the jail."

The four escapees go by the names of Joey Fournier (52 years old), Chavis Stokes (29 years old), Marc K. Anderson (24 years old), and Johnifer Barnwell (37 years old). They were in the slammer for a mix of charges, from murder to drug trafficking.

The escape went down when there were fewer than 10 jail employees on duty, and the place was jam-packed with around 800 inmates. The jail itself is pretty beat up in many areas.

Sheriff Davis gave a heads-up to the local schools, letting them know that these escapees, three of whom have done time before, should be seen as risky business.

To help in the manhunt, the FBI and U.S. Marshals Office have joined the party. There's also a $1,000 reward up for grabs for tips that lead to the arrest of each inmate.

Sheriff Davis ain't taking it lightly, saying, "Somebody is probably laughing at the TV set saying, 'They'll never catch us. They'll never catch us.' We will catch them. They will come back to the jail. It's just a matter of when."

If you got any dirt on these escapees or their getaway car, reach out to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
