Arkansas Mother, Trista Fullerton Arrested for Alleged Abduction of Eight Children From Foster Homes

An Arkansas woman suspected of taking her eight biological children from their foster homes has been taken into custody.

The Anderson Police Department shared on Facebook that Trista Fullerton, aged 36, was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail.

A concerned individual reached out to the authorities at approximately 12:30 a.m., requesting a welfare check when they observed six children with a woman displaying unusual behavior.

When the officers arrived, they found the woman and children parked in a Dodge pickup with Arkansas license plates. The woman was identified as Fullerton, who had a felony warrant for the alleged abduction of the eight children.

Fullerton later informed the officers that the other two children were located at a residence in the Cottonwood, Arkansas area. They were safely recovered by deputies from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.

All eight children had been previously reported as abducted, with protective custody warrants issued to ensure their safety.

Police disclosed that Fullerton is the biological mother of these children but had lost her custodial rights and is accused of abducting them from their foster families. The children were subsequently reunited with their guardians under the care of Shasta County Children and Family Services.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Fullerton has entered a plea or retained an attorney to represent her.
