Sunday Chaos: Man Arrested for Stabbing and Theft in Forest Acres

Forest Acres police nabbed a man on a bunch of charges this Sunday, following what they're calling an "afternoon crime spree."

Jeremy Alan Boone, a 30-year-old resident of Lexington County, found himself in hot water. He's now looking at charges for trying to do some harm, waving a gun around, swiping a motor vehicle, and shoplifting.

Boone, who lives in Lexington County, allegedly stole something from the Publix grocery store at Trenholm Plaza around 2 p.m. on Sunday. The police recognized Boone because of the description of the suspect's vehicle, which they figured was a work vehicle belonging to Boone's employer.

Shortly after the shoplifting incident, the suspect's vehicle got into a crash on Covenant Road, according to the police. Boone then apparently walked over to the Brickyard Condominiums on Bethel Church Road, where a friend lives. It's there that things took a dark turn.

Boone got into a scuffle with the condo resident and stabbed him in the back using a pocket knife, as per the police. The victim informed the police that Boone then grabbed a gun and pointed it at him, though it turned out the gun wasn't loaded, according to the police. Boone then made a run for it in the victim's car, as reported by the police.

Thankfully, the victim's injuries weren't life-threatening, the police reassured. "Remarkably, the victim survived the ordeal with only minor injuries," Forest Acres Police Chief Don Robinson mentioned in a statement.

Boone was later apprehended in Richland County and received treatment at a hospital for unspecified reasons. According to the police, Boone might be slapped with even more charges in the future.
