Arrested: Suspect Charged with Murder and Kidnapping in Washington Couple’s Mysterious Disappearance, Police Confirm.

In connection with the disappearance of a Washington couple, missing since Monday, an unnamed man in his 40s from Olympia, Washington, has been arrested and charged on Friday evening, as stated in a press release by the Thurston County Sheriff's office. Working collaboratively with local, state, and federal partners, evidence has been gathered to identify the suspect, who is now held at Thurston County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. Unfortunately, the police now believe the missing couple, Karen Koep and her husband, referred to as Davido, are deceased, following an attack at their residence. The sheriff’s office, having maintained contact with the family throughout the investigation, expressed their belief that the couple did not survive the incident.

The statement highlights the diligent efforts of detectives in investigating the couple's disappearance, with the promise of releasing additional information when available.

Karen Koep, a cherished chiropractor, and Davido were initially reported missing under suspicious circumstances last Monday when Koep failed to show up for work. A welfare check at their residence revealed both were missing, along with their 2015 Toyota Yaris, which was later found at an intersection five miles from Koep's workplace.

Joe Blade, a realty company owner near Koep's practice, mentioned seeing the chiropractor a week before her disappearance was announced. Her sister, Pauline D. Dutton, expressed complete shock over the situation, emphasizing Koep's selflessness. Dutton dismissed the possibility of the couple leaving without notice and stated they are missing involuntarily.
