'Forced to Act': Police Fatally Shoots And Kills New York Resident, Jason Pass Who Executed Neighbor and Stepson Amid Noise Dispute in Intense Confrontation
According to the New York City police, the recent search for Jason Pass, the 47-year-old suspect in a brutal double homicide case, came to an end when he was found hiding in a car in Brooklyn.
Pass was wanted in connection with the shooting of 47-year-old Bladimy Mathurin and his 27-year-old stepson Chin Wai Mode, following a dispute over noise in their apartment building in East Flatbush.
The authorities located Pass through a license plate reader and engaged in a dialogue with him, attempting to persuade him to drop the knife he was holding.
However, Pass charged at the officers, prompting them to shoot him in self-defense. Despite being taken to the hospital, Pass succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed that the firearm used in the crime was not registered to Pass, and the police are currently awaiting a search warrant to further process his car for additional evidence.
Surveillance footage captured the distressing events, showing Pass's confrontation with the victims before the fatal shootings.
Prior to the incident, Pass had a history of working as a transit conductor for the MTA and a correction officer at Sing Sing, but he was terminated from both positions due to his aggressive behavior towards colleagues.
