Hidden Horrors: 'The Original Sitter Buddy' Exposed as a Menacing Deceiver, Receives 705-Year Sentence for Abusing and Filming Assaults on 16 Boys.

In California, a male nanny, self-branded as "the original Sitter Buddy," has been handed a staggering sentence of 705 years to life, plus two years and eight months, for sexually assaulting 16 boys, aged 2 to 12, under his care and exposing explicit content to a 17th boy.

Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, 34, who was sentenced this week, had parents deliver emotional victim impact statements, expressing outrage at his deceitful actions and likening him to an animal.

In his defense, Zakrzewski claimed to take pride in "bringing smiles to your children," insisting that the positive experiences shared were entirely genuine, while parents, moved to tears, covered their ears.

Operating under the moniker "Sitter Buddy," he presented himself as a "manny" or male nanny, providing overnight and vacation babysitting services, mentorships, and big brother relationships, purportedly inspired by his positive experiences in the eighth grade.

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer labeled Zakrzewski a "monster disguised by smiles and giggles," engaging in a calculated manipulation to maintain access to children. The first case emerged in May 2019 when a couple reported inappropriate touching by Zakrzewski to their 8-year-old son.

Subsequent investigations revealed 11 additional victims across Southern California dating back to 2014. Zakrzewski's arrest occurred in 2019 as he disembarked from an international flight.

Convicted of 34 felonies, including lewd and lascivious acts with minors, oral copulation of a child under 10, possession of child pornography, and attempting lewd or lascivious acts, Zakrzewski's actions were described as a "case of shattered innocence and precious childhoods" by Spitzer.

The trauma inflicted on the 17 victims, manipulated into secrecy, leaves lasting scars, and Spitzer emphasized the imperative of supporting these families in rebuilding their children's lives.
