Tarzana Nightmare: Arrest Made as LAPD Investigates Disturbing Human Remains Find

In Los Angeles, a shocking discovery unfolded when a homeless man stumbled upon human remains stashed in a plastic bag while sifting through a trash bin in the Encino area. Authorities swiftly made an arrest in connection with the gruesome find.

The Los Angeles Police Department disclosed that the grisly remains, identified as a headless woman's torso, were found at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday near Ventura Boulevard and Rubio Avenue. Video evidence at the scene guided investigators to the suspect's residence in Tarzana, situated in the 4100 block of Coldstream Terrace.

Inside 35-year-old Samuel Haskell's home, bloody evidence was uncovered, raising alarms about the safety of Haskell's wife, her parents, and the couple's three children residing in the same house.

Fortunately, the children were located safely at school, but the whereabouts of their mother and grandparents remain unknown.

Although the victim's name hasn't been disclosed, LAPD Detective Efren Gutierrez urged anyone with information about missing family members, loved ones, or coworkers to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.

Currently held at Van Nuys Jail on a $2 million bail, Haskell is under scrutiny for his alleged involvement in this disturbing case.
