Woman Unleashes Detergent Attack on 'Sugar Daddy' in $2,000 Demand, Say Deputies

After connecting online and having a single date, a woman surprised a man in the wee hours, seeking $2,000 from him, and when he refused, she allegedly blinded him with detergent, leading to robbery charges against her. Kaley Renae Medina, 26, is facing legal action in Bexar County, Texas, following an incident that unfolded after the two met on SeekingArrangement.com, a platform known for financial arrangements between affluent individuals and those in need.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar explained that these websites often facilitate connections between financially stable individuals, colloquially known as "sugar daddies," and individuals seeking financial support, referring to it as a kind of arrangement. According to reports, the victim, a 61-year-old man, had a date with Medina earlier in the month, which seemed uneventful. However, when she unexpectedly showed up at his doorstep at 2:30 a.m., things took a bizarre turn.

During their encounter, Medina reportedly demanded $2,000 from the man, and when he declined, she unleashed havoc in his home, damaging his possessions, including a flat-screen TV, entertainment center, and a painting. The situation escalated further when she allegedly poured laundry detergent on his head, causing burns and rendering him temporarily blind. Taking advantage of the chaos, she stole various items, including his passport, iPhone, surveillance camera, and a Dyson hair dryer.

In the aftermath, the blinded man sought help, crawling out of his home and eventually receiving medical attention for cuts on his legs and chemical burns to his eyes. Sheriff Salazar pointed out that Medina had a prior criminal record, including a DWI, and an aggravated assault charge against a security guard in 2020, a case that was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

Despite the severity of the incident, Medina managed to post a $20,000 bond, as indicated by online records.
