Arrest Made: Man, Joshua Williams Accused of girlfriend's Death, Incriminating Online Searches Unveiled

In Illinois, Joshua Williams, 24, was apprehended for the alleged strangulation and subsequent death of 15-year-old Amarise Parker. The circumstances surrounding her demise revealed unsettling details involving Williams' online searches following the incident.

Williams faced a series of charges as prosecutors presented a narrative of events, suggesting a disturbing sequence leading to Parker's tragic end.

Amarise Parker and Joshua Williams had been in a relationship before her untimely death. Parker's family had previously reported her as missing, having run away from home on multiple occasions. On December 10, Parker was staying at Williams' residence when she reached out to her mother, seeking to be picked up. Initially unable to locate Parker at Williams' place, her mother eventually succeeded in bringing her daughter back home.

However, on December 11, Parker again requested to be retrieved from Williams' home. She confided in her mother, stating that Williams had restrained her from leaving earlier, and she managed to escape when he believed she was occupied in the restroom. Yet, when Parker's mother briefly left the house later that day to pick up her other daughter from school, she returned to find Amarise gone.

Investigators discovered that Parker returned to Williams' residence and stayed overnight. Witnesses reported overhearing intense arguments between Williams and Parker in the early hours of December 12.

On the evening of December 12, Williams contacted his cousin and a friend, expressing concern as Parker appeared unwell. The cousin alerted emergency services, leading to the grim discovery of Parker lying in a closet, lifeless, with a necklace embedded in her throat. Paramedics found physical signs of injury, including redness, cuts, and scratches on her neck and face.

A subsequent autopsy confirmed Parker's cause of death as asphyxiation/strangulation, revealing that her windpipe had been crushed. Williams, during police questioning, claimed he had fallen asleep with Parker and panicked when she didn't wake up the next day. He denied any prior altercation.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for Williams' phone, discovering troubling Google searches and videos allegedly depicting Williams interacting with Parker's deceased body. His search history included inquiries related to strangulation, the victim's name, asphyxiation, and details about the consequences of murder.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Williams had an active warrant for his arrest in Colorado Springs for an assault case involving strangulation.

Appearing before a judge, Williams was denied bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on January 10, facing charges related to Parker's death and the incriminating evidence collected from his phone.
