Florida Mechanic, Suren Seetal, Kidnapped & Killed Over $315,000 Debt, Three Charged in Gruesome Murder-for-Hire Plot

A Miami-Dade airplane mechanic, Suren Seetal, was brutally kidnapped and murdered in a shocking case allegedly fueled by a massive debt, authorities claim. The prime suspect? The very man who owed Seetal a staggering $315,000.

On Monday, federal prosecutors announced charges against three individuals accused of orchestrating Seetal's demise: Somjeet Christopher Singh (29), Avin Seetaram (24), and Gavin Hunter (18). The trio faces a chilling array of charges, including murder for hire conspiracy, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice.

According to investigators, Seetal's financial woes stemmed from a debt owed by Singh. Seetal's girlfriend revealed he had been actively trying to recover the money prior to his disappearance. Tragically, Seetal vanished on November 2nd after leaving his work hangar, leaving worried family and friends behind.

A desperate search ensued, fueled by a GoFundMe campaign created by Seetal's family. The hunt for answers ultimately led investigators to Singh's air conditioning company, where Seetal's phone was last tracked. The device went dark shortly after, raising alarm bells.

On November 21st, Seetal's body was found in the Big Cypress Reservation, dashing hopes of his safe return. The investigation uncovered a chilling web of alleged connections between the suspects and the victim.

The affidavit details how Seetal knew Singh and Seetaram from their past involvement in the fireworks business. Suspicious phone activity and a series of seemingly calculated actions, like towing Seetal's vehicle and purchasing a large yard waste cart, further strengthened the case against the trio.

While Seetaram's attorney maintains his client's innocence, authorities believe Hunter delivered the fatal blow. All three suspects face life imprisonment or even the death penalty if convicted.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of debt and greed. As the legal proceedings unfold, the Seetal family seeks solace and justice for their beloved Suren.
