A devastating accident in Texas took the life of a 15-year-old student who was struck by a semi-truck while exiting their school bus. The incident occurred on Thursday, as the teenager was leaving the Livingston ISD bus on U.S. Route 59.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the bus was stopped with its flashing red lights activated when a semi-truck rear-ended a Toyota car behind it. The impact caused the truck to swerve into the driveway where the student was disembarking, resulting in the tragic collision.

Authorities confirmed that the bus’ red lights and stop sign were functioning at the time of the crash. Fortunately, neither the driver of the truck nor the driver of the Toyota sustained any injuries.
