Man Shot in Head During Restaurant Robbery, Police Seek Blue Gunman

A terrifying video captured the moment a man was shot in the head during an armed robbery at a Washington Heights fish restaurant. The 37-year-old victim was having a late-night dinner alone at the Seafood King Fish Market when the masked attacker struck.

The disturbing footage released by the NYPD shows the gunman pointing a distinctive blue-colored handgun directly at the victim's head. Even though the victim had already handed over his belongings, the gunman fired a shot, hitting him in the upper cheek.

The suspect, dressed in all black with a matching mask, had entered the restaurant earlier, ordered food, and then left. He returned shortly after and used the bathroom before emerging with the gun.

The robber demanded the cashier and the lone customer hand over their cellphones, followed by the money from the register. He then ordered the cashier to the ground, and she crouched down. The unsuspecting diner, still seated at the counter, also ducked down.

At that moment, the gunman shot the man in the head without warning before fleeing with the stolen cash and belongings. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward. They are particularly interested in the blue handgun used in the crime and are hoping to forensically match it to other incidents.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium complexion and was last seen wearing black clothing, a black hat, and a mask.
