Newlywed Nurse and Pastor Found Shot Dead in Florida Home, Children Witness Tragedy

A 46-year-old man, identified as Sony Josaphat, is being held without bond in connection with the shooting deaths of a newlywed nurse and her pastor husband in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The victims, a woman who recently moved from Haiti and worked as a nurse practitioner, and her pastor brother-in-law, were found dead inside their home on Saturday morning. Three of the slain woman's children, including an adult who witnessed the shooting, were also present.

Authorities have not released a motive for the killings or provided a timeline of events. They are currently interviewing Josaphat, who has been identified as a "person of interest."

Neighbors described the area as quiet and expressed shock at the violence. One neighbor reported hearing gunshots but initially ignored them, believing they were construction noises. Another neighbor described the incident as "horrific" and confirmed that the victims belonged to their church.

The victims' sister, who spoke to the media, described her sister as a happy newlywed who had recently achieved her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. She expressed grief for her sister and her brother-in-law, and called for justice in their case.
