Police Seek Answers: Brissa Romero's SUV Found, But Teenager Still Missing

Authorities have discovered a submerged vehicle believed to be the SUV of missing teenager Brissa Romero. While the Nissan Rogue was found empty, police believe she was inside when it entered the water.

This new information comes after surveillance footage emerged showing Romero entering a fast food restaurant alone, leaving shortly after, and getting into her vehicle. Her phone last pinged near the pond where the SUV was found, further solidifying the connection.

A backpack belonging to Romero was also discovered washed ashore near the pond.

Romero vanished on December 4th while on her way to a holiday work party. Authorities previously identified her phone pinging in the area where the party was located, but she never arrived.

Surveillance footage captured Romero visiting a family member in Des Plaines, Illinois, on the day she disappeared. Additional footage showed her stopping by her job in Schaumburg to pick up an iPad shortly before 7pm.

Police have emphasized that Brissa has no history of running away and maintain a close relationship with her family. Despite being just 17, she had already graduated high school and was pursuing her dream of becoming a sonogram nurse while working two jobs to support her studies.

Romero is described as 5 feet tall and approximately 115 pounds. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact authorities.
