Chinese Couple Executed for Throwing Two Of Their Young Children from a High-Rise So They Could Start a New Family

A Chinese couple's nine-month plot to eliminate their obstacles to a new life ended tragically for two toddlers and in their own execution on Wednesday.

Zhang Bo, a father of two, embarked on an affair with Ye Chengchen, initially concealing his marital status and children. After divorcing his wife, Ye, according to reports, urged Zhang to take a chilling step: kill his own kids. Driven by this manipulation, Zhang, in November 2020, staged an "accidental" fall from their 15th-floor apartment in Chongqing, throwing his 2 and 1-year-old children to their deaths.

Authorities uncovered a sinister truth behind the apparent accident. Investigations revealed meticulous planning spanning nine months, orchestrated by the couple. Their convictions for murder, initially pronounced in a local court in 2021, were upheld by China's supreme courts, leading to their execution.

This tragic case highlights the complexities of domestic abuse and manipulation, often escalating to unthinkable consequences. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and intervention in suspected child endangerment situations.
