Man Stabs his Girlfriend Over Alleged Infidelity; Attacks His Mother and Other Family Members

A manhunt is underway in eThekwini, South Africa, after a brutal attack fueled by alleged infidelity left a woman stabbed, his mother and grandmother injured, and his uncle assaulted. The incident occurred on Saturday on Mgabadeli Road in Phase 6, Waterloo, KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to multiple calls for assistance at approximately 9:22 PM. Upon arrival, they learned that two women had been rushed to the hospital by private means.

Witnesses described a harrowing scene. A man in his twenties confronted his girlfriend at her home, accusing her of infidelity. In a fit of rage, he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her before forcing her to his residence across the street.

The violence continued. The suspect stabbed the woman again when his mother intervened. The knife blade broke during the struggle, leaving a chilling image of the shattered weapon. Undeterred, the enraged man grabbed a broken glass bottle and stabbed his mother in the arm.

Seeing the attack unfold, the suspect's 39-year-old paraplegic uncle attempted to intervene using his wheelchair. He was assaulted, along with his 76-year-old grandmother, who also tried to stop the violence. The suspect then damaged all the windows before fleeing on foot.

Reaction Officers are currently searching for the suspect.
