Prosecutors Allege That Tupac's Murder Suspect Keefe D is Plotting Harm to Witnesses, Argue for Continued Detention.

Prosecutors argue that Keefe D, a suspect in the murder case of rapper Tupac Shakur, should remain in jail despite requests for house arrest due to concerns over his potential threat to witnesses.

Keefe D, aged 60, detained in Las Vegas, pleads innocence to the murder charge and has been held without bail since his September 29 arrest. His lawyers push for bail at $100,000, citing his failing health and minimal risk to the community.

The prosecution revealed that Keefe's son mentioned a 'green light,' interpreted as an order to eliminate witnesses. This raised concerns, prompting federal intervention to relocate at least one witness for safety.

Although there's no direct evidence of Keefe instructing harm, prosecutors view these threats as indicative of guilt and danger to witnesses. Despite defense claims that his past statements were exaggerated for entertainment, prosecutors argue his involvement based on various interviews and a 2019 memoir.

Keefe, the sole surviving occupant of the vehicle involved in Shakur's shooting, claims immunity from a 2008 agreement with the FBI and LAPD, investigating both Shakur's and Biggie Smalls' murders.

The tragic 1996 shooting hit Tupac and Suge Knight, potentially leading Keefe to a life sentence if found guilty."
