Former football star Richard Sherman was arrested early Saturday morning in Washington state on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). Police pulled Sherman over around 2 am for speeding, clocking him at 79 mph in a 60 mph zone.
According to reports, when questioned about his alcohol consumption, Sherman admitted to having two margaritas.
The police report also mentioned that Sherman's eyes appeared red and watery, and there was a noticeable odor of alcohol. He reportedly agreed to take a test to determine his blood alcohol level, but the results haven't been released yet.

Sherman is expected to appear in court on Monday. It's unclear at this time what his bail amount might be. This isn't the first time Sherman has faced legal trouble related to driving. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and causing a disturbance at home.
Sherman had a successful 11-year career in the NFL, playing for the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He most recently worked as an analyst for Thursday Night Football broadcasts.
