Man arrested in killing of pregnant Amish mother in Pennsylvania

A Pennsylvania community is grappling with the tragic murder of Rebekah Byler, a pregnant Amish woman, who was found dead in her home on Monday. 

The arrest of Shawn Cranston on Saturday, following a five-day investigation, brought a mix of shock and relief to the close-knit community known for its peaceful traditions.

Cranston faces serious charges, including murder for the deaths of both Rebekah and her unborn child, along with burglary and trespassing. 

He is currently denied bail and awaits his trial.

While the relationship between Cranston and Rebekah remains unclear, authorities confirmed that her young children, aged 2 and 3, were unharmed during the incident.
