California Fertility Doctor Convicted of Staging Wife's Murder as an accidental Fall

A California fertility doctor, Eric Scott Sills, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a shocking crime.

Sills staged his wife Susann's murder in 2016 to appear like an accidental fall.

Initially, Sills claimed he found Susann, his business partner, and wife, deceased at the bottom of their San Clemente home stairs.

However, the investigation revealed a sinister truth.

Evidence presented at trial painted a different picture.

Susann died from strangulation, not a fall.

Bloodstains on a bedroom wall and Susann's hair found in the room pointed to a violent struggle.

Thankfully, the stories Sills constructed crumbled.

He was arrested in 2019 and convicted of second-degree murder in December 2023.

This case leaves behind a trail of devastation.

Susann, a mother of twins and co-founder of the fertility clinic they ran together, is tragically gone.

Their children grapple with the unimaginable – losing their mother at the hands of their father.

"Mr. Sills not only killed his wife but tried to cover up his horrific crime," stated Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer.

He emphasized the irreparable damage caused and the ultimate betrayal Sills inflicted on his family.
