New Hampshire Man, Dustin Duren, Accused of Wife's Murder after Allegedly Abducting Daughters

A man from New Hampshire who allegedly took his two daughters without permission is now accused of killing the mother of his kids, officials say.

Dustin Duren, 37, was charged with second-degree murder in a New Hampshire court and is being held without bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer yet.

The victim, Caitlyn Naffziger, 31, was found dead in a Berlin apartment. An autopsy confirmed she was shot in the head.

After her body was discovered, an Amber Alert was issued for Duren and his two daughters, ages 1 and 4, who were believed to be with him. Authorities warned that Duren might be armed.

Duren was found the next day in Keene, New Hampshire, and his daughters were found safe. The alert was canceled.

The New Hampshire Department of Justice thanked the Keene Police Department for their help in finding Duren and ensuring the safety of the children.

Duren is expected to appear in court again on March 13 for a probable cause hearing.
