Suspect, Quinterius Sutton Faces Murder Charges for Fatally Shooting Panhandler at Chamblee Gas Station


A seemingly ordinary Monday afternoon at a Chamblee gas station turned into a scene of violence, claiming the life of a young man. 

The incident unfolded around 12:35 pm on March 19th at the QuikTrip on Chamblee Tucker Road.

As per information provided by FOX 5 Atlanta, Anderson Adonay-Perdomo, aged 23, was shot when he approached individuals near the gas pumps, allegedly asking for money.

Witnesses described the encounter as Adonay-Perdomo going from person to person, asking for help. 

Sadly, the situation took a tragic turn when he approached the vehicle of 26-year-old Quinterius Sutton.

Anderson Adonay-Perdomo was tragically shot dead by Quinterius Sutton. 

Following the shooting, Sutton fled the scene. 

However, a swift response by law enforcement led to his apprehension within an hour and a half.

Authorities located Sutton's vehicle in East Point and placed him under arrest.

He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail on charges of murder, possession of a firearm, and driving without a valid license, as reported by 11Alive.
