A woman from Pennsylvania named Sherry Heffernan was recently found guilty of killing her father and his girlfriend. This all happened back in September 2021 at her father's beach house in New Jersey.
According to the police, Heffernan drove to her father's house at night and killed him and his girlfriend because she was upset that he took her out of his will. She used a gun and a knife in the attack.
The bodies were found a few days later by the girlfriend's family, who went to check on her because they hadn't heard from her. Both victims were stabbed and shot.

The police found evidence linking Heffernan to the crime scene, including bloody footprints, a glove, and security camera footage showing a large RV, which belonged to Heffernan, coming and going from the house around the time of the murders.
Heffernan claimed she wasn't guilty, but the jury didn't believe her and found her guilty of murder and weapon charges. She could now spend the rest of her life in prison when she's sentenced in May.
The families of the victims are relieved by the verdict and hope to move forward now.
