Who Killed "BLOCC" Hankins? Georgia Police Seek Answers in 4-Year-Old Cold Case, $2,000 Reward Offered


Looking for answers! Police are asking for your help in solving the killing of Dorian "BLOCC" Hankins, a 31-year-old man who was shot at his house in Palmetto, Georgia back in March 2020. 

It's been four years, and investigators still don't know who did it or why.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is offering a reward of $2,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and charges being filed.

DeKalb County Officer Indicted in Shooting Death

There's also new information in a separate case involving DeKalb County police officers. 

Two officers, Russell Mathis and Jordan Vance, have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Mirando Salmon in November 2022.

According to the district attorney, the officers were responding to a stolen car report when they encountered Mr. Salmon. 

During the incident, Officer Mathis reportedly shot him after mistaking a thrown phone for a knife in the dark. 

Mr. Salmon, who was unarmed and legally owned a gun, died from his injuries.

Both officers are expected to turn themselves in soon. 

Officer Mathis faces charges of manslaughter and reckless conduct, while Officer Vance is charged with reckless conduct.
