English Man, Nicholas Metson Admits to Murdering His Wife After Allegedly Cutting her Body into 200 Pieces

A husband from Lincoln, England, named Nicholas Metson (28 years old) recently admitted to killing his wife, Holly Metson (née Bramley), after denying it for almost a year.

Holly's body was found in the village of Bassingham in 2023.

Initially, Nicholas denied involvement in her death, but during a recent court hearing in February, he finally confessed to the murder.

Another man, Joshua Hancock (also 28 years old), pleaded guilty at the same hearing for helping to get rid of Holly's body.

He knew it was wrong and wanted to stop the police from discovering what happened.

News reports, like the BBC, revealed shocking details.

After killing his wife, Mr. Metson reportedly kept her remains hidden in their apartment for a week.

The body was cut up into more than 200 pieces!

Then, he paid Mr. Hancock to dispose of the remains.

Following the murder, Nicholas took money out of Holly's bank account and searched the internet for things like "benefits of wife's death" and "Can ghosts haunt you?".

These actions raised a lot of suspicion.

According to news reports, Nicholas and Holly were planning to separate when the murder happened.

It's unclear why Nicholas killed her.

During the sentencing hearing in April, Holly's family shared how much they missed her and how they believe Nicholas controlled and manipulated her before the murder.

They called him a monster and said their marriage had fallen apart since their wedding in 2021.

The discovery of Holly's body was horrific.

Someone walking by a river noticed plastic bags floating in the water, one containing a human hand.

This led to the recovery of most of Holly's remains (224 pieces) from the river, but some parts were never found.

Before finding the body, police had visited the couple's apartment because they were worried about Holly's safety.

The apartment smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, and there were bloodstains in several rooms.

These stains were later confirmed to be Holly's blood.

When police questioned Nicholas, he lied and said Holly left with a mental health group.

He even joked that she might be hiding.

CCTV footage showed Holly alive for the last time on March 17th, 2023.

Nicholas had a history of violence against partners, with convictions in 2013, 2016, and 2017.

He also tried to make it seem like Holly was abusive by showing the police a bite mark on his arm.

In court, the prosecutor explained that the bite mark likely meant Holly was trying to fight back when Nicholas attacked her.

Evidence suggests Nicholas stabbed Holly in the bedroom, then cut her body apart in the bathroom, and finally kept the pieces in the kitchen until he paid someone to get rid of them.

During the sentencing hearing, Holly's mother spoke directly to Nicholas, saying he had condemned their family to a lifetime of suffering.

She described the pain of finding out how Holly was killed.

Both Nicholas and Joshua will be sentenced for their crimes on April 8th.
