A man from Canandaigua, New York, who was recently found guilty of raping a high school senior and holding her captive, is now facing allegations of planning a murder-for-hire scheme from behind bars.
Alexander Kise, 21, was convicted in mid-March for sexually assaulting and unlawfully imprisoning an 18-year-old girl he met online.
Before his sentencing, Kise, along with his girlfriend Alydia Gater, allegedly conspired to use Xanax pills as payment for a fake assassin to kill the judge overseeing his case.
Prosecutors claim that Kise's targets also included a prosecutor and a witness from his rape trial.
During the trial, it was revealed that Kise subjected the victim to sexual assault and strangulation over a two-day period in June 2022.
He then coerced his grandmother to take the victim to the hospital, fabricating a story about a mugging to explain her injuries.
Threats of harm were made if the victim revealed the truth.
Despite this, the victim managed to escape Kise's captivity with the help of an Uber.

Alydia Gater, Kise's girlfriend, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy, and drug-related offenses.
Both Kise and Gater are accused of plotting to murder the judge and prosecutor handling Kise's case, as well as the victim from his trial.
The duo allegedly discussed their plan in jailhouse calls, providing specific details to undercover officers.
Authorities disclosed that Kise and Gater intended to use approximately $1,750 worth of Xanax for the planned killings.
Gater's social media posts suggest that she recently got engaged to Kise, and she also shared news of her pregnancy.
These shocking developments shed light on the complex and dangerous situation surrounding Kise's criminal activities and the lengths he and his associates were willing to go to evade justice.
