Mother and Daughter Found Dead in Mobile Home, Boyfriend Captured

A horrible crime happened in Dover, Florida.

A man named Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc, 31 years old, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Amalia Coc Choc de Pec, 36, and her 4-year-old daughter, Estrella Anastasia Pec Coc.

They lived together in a mobile home.

The Sheriff's department received a call about a dead woman around 5:30 pm on Wednesday.

When deputies arrived, they found signs of a struggle outside the home.

There was a bloody handprint on the side, suggesting the woman tried to fight back.

Sadly, she was found dead outside in a pool of blood.

Her daughter was also found dead inside the home.

The suspect, Cuz-Choc, ran away after the murders.

Police searched for him for 18 hours before a police dog found him hiding in some nearby bushes.

Investigators believe the murders happened around 3:40 pm.

A neighbor actually heard a woman scream, but this wasn't unusual in the area so no one called the police.

It wasn't until a roommate returned home at 5:30 pm and discovered the bodies that authorities were alerted.

The Sheriff said Cuz-Choc was romantically involved with the woman, but not the child.

The child's father lives in Guatemala.

Cuz-Choc is believed to have entered the country illegally and investigators are still trying to determine the immigration status of the woman and her daughter.

The Sheriff also commended the community for helping capture the suspect.

When deputies found Cuz-Choc, they discovered he had tried to call his boss, brother, and friends for help.

However, they all refused to get involved and reported the calls to the police.

This helped ensure Cuz-Choc couldn't escape.

The Sheriff's office confirmed that Cuz-Choc confessed to both murders during questioning.
