Pennsylvania Pizzeria Owner, Anna Maria Tolomello, Pleads Guilty to Partner's Murder

Anna Maria Tolomello, the owner of Pina's Pizza in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to the murder of her business partner and longtime boyfriend, Giovanni Gallina.

This comes just before her trial was set to begin, after two years of legal proceedings.

Gallina, known fondly as "The Boss" by patrons, was found shot in the head and wrapped in a tarp inside Tolomello's home.

Initially, Tolomello claimed self-defense, stating she shot Gallina during a struggle.

However, this claim has been dropped with her guilty plea.

The investigation began when Gallina's son, Phillip, residing in Italy, reported him missing after their usual communication on WhatsApp stopped abruptly.

Tolomello's explanations about Gallina's whereabouts, including him being "away on business" without a timeframe, raised suspicion among authorities.

Adding to the red flags, Tolomello was caught asking someone for advice on dealing with a "skunk" around the same time Gallina disappeared.

Further investigation revealed Tolomello attempting to buy help in digging a suspicious hole on her property, big enough for a grave.

Phillip Gallina last spoke to his father on March 16th, 2022.

By March 29th, law enforcement, with the help of a confidential source, gathered enough evidence for a search warrant of Tolomello's home.

Despite her claims of self-defense, Gallina's body was found hidden inside.

Tolomello now faces sentencing on June 25th, potentially serving 18 to 40 years in prison.

Giovanni Gallina, a beloved father and grandfather, leaves behind three children and two grandchildren who mourn his loss.
