San Dimas Woman Dead and Two Others Injured in Samurai Sword Attack: Investigation is Ongoing

The Los Angeles police are investigating the cause of a fight where a Samurai-style sword was used.

The fight led to one woman’s death and two other people being hospitalized.

On Thursday afternoon, police went to a street in San Dimas after a woman with cuts on her leg and hands, covered in blood, flagged them down.

She was holding a Samurai-style sword.

The woman seemed to want to show the police the sword.

But she put it down and raised her hands after the deputies told her to.

Lt. Daniel Vizcarra told reporters that the woman led the police to a nearby house, where they found another woman with bloody cuts.

She was declared dead at the scene.

A third woman was found in the house and taken to the hospital for what police said was a “medical emergency.”

KTLA reported that her emergency was a heart attack, likely from the incident.

She had not been hurt directly with the sword during the attack

The police are still trying to find out what caused the deadly attack because the women only speak Mandarin Chinese.

Authorities said that the initial investigation suggests there might be a family connection, but they haven’t confirmed it due to the language barrier.

Police added that interpreters were sent to both the home and the hospital.
