On the evening of October 22, 2024, Rodriguez-Ramirez informed her mother she was heading to the Cornelia Walmart for what seemed like a routine transaction

She was supposed to sell a photograph to someone.

Tragically, this would be the last time her family would hear from her directly.

Later that night, around 9:30 PM, her fiancé Julio Tovor received what would later be identified as a suspicious text message from her phone.

The message read "I am waiting for the brother to pick him up."

This immediately raised red flags for Tovor.

"It didn't make sense. She doesn't talk like that," he told local news outlet Now Habersham.

He noted the uncharacteristic phrasing and style of the text.

When Tovor woke the next morning to find Rodriguez-Ramirez hadn't returned home, he knew something was seriously wrong.
