David McKeown: Florida Middle School Teacher Arrested for Creating AI-Generated Child Porn With Pictures of His Students
A middle school teacher from Central Florida was arrested on Thursday, June 19, 2025, after police discovered disturbing evidence involving child sexual abuse materials and AI-generated porn.
The teacher, David McKeown, who works with sixth-grade students at UBIC Academy in Volusia County, is now facing 19 serious charges.
These include having and sharing child pornography, as well as disturbing content involving sexual abuse of animals, as reported by New York Post.
According to the Florida Attorney General’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), McKeown allegedly used the app Discord to share nearly 30 explicit images of minors.
Some of those images may have been AI generated, using real photos of his students, as per Fox35Orlando.
What’s even more disturbing is that detectives say McKeown viewed and shared the AI generated child porn while he was at school, using the school’s WiFi during work hours.
"What he did is beyond betrayal—it’s devastating and sick," said Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. "Our Office of Statewide Prosecution will aggressively pursue justice for these children and their parents."

The teacher’s crimes came to light on June 2, 2025, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received an anonymous tip from a Discord user.
The tip claimed that the teacher was sharing child abuse material, so NCMEC quickly contacted the local police department, and a criminal investigation was started.
The Police later searched his Holly Hill home and his electronics at school, where they seized several devices as evidence.
McKeown was denied bail and is currently being held in Volusia County Jail, where he faces up to 315 years in prison if convicted.
As soon as the school found out about McKeown’s arrest, UBIC Academy fired him right away.
In a message to parents, Board Chair Don Ross said the school was shocked and deeply saddened by the allegations.
He also assured families that they are working closely with law enforcement during the investigation.
"We are shocked and deeply grieved by the serious allegations of misconduct against him," Ross said. "Our employment relationship with David McKeown has been terminated."
FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass also condemned McKeown’s actions.
"We will never allow predators to hide behind screens or school walls. We will track them down, expose them, and bring them to justice," he said.
Authorities have said that additional charges are possible as the criminal investigation continues.
They urge anyone with information—or potential victims—to contact the Holly Hill Police Department’s Victim Advocate Coordinator.
