Sophia Carrier: Murfreesboro Woman, Who is Daycare Worker, Arrested For Sharing Child Pornography on Snapchat

A Murfreesboro woman is facing serious charges after authorities discovered child pornography involving infants linked to her Snapchat account. 

28-year-old Sophia Carrier was arrested in July 2025 after months of investigation.

She’s now charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, as per WSMV4 News.

This disturbing case began in mid-March 2025 when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a tip from Snapchat that child porn with infants, was being shared on the platform. 

According to court documents, Snapchat handed over the disturbing files to NCMEC, which led to an immediate investigation. 

Authorities then traced the phone number linked to the account back to Carrier. 

By May 2025, Murfreesboro Police obtained a search warrant, which led to Apple releasing data that was later decrypted by the department’s Forensic Services Unit. 

Once the files were decrypted, the police found more child pornography materials in her device.

“The results of the search warrant showed several selfies of Ms. Sophia Carrier and a chat thread between Ms. Carrier and another user talking about how much she enjoys Child Pornography and watching children being abused,” court documents stated.  

Carrier was eventually arrested at her place of employment, and during questioning, she reportedly admitted to uploading and sharing the illegal videos with others online.  

A source confirmed to WSMV4 that Carrier had been employed at a daycare in Rutherford County, raising even more concerns because of her easy access to children.  

As of now, Carrier remains in jail on a $120,000 bond. 

Her next court appearance is scheduled for August 13, 2025, and If convicted, she could face severe penalties under Tennessee law for exploitation of a minor.  

Authorities are still investigating whether there are more victims or accomplices involved.
