A summer house party in Las Vegas turned deadly in July 2024 when two teenagers who had been refused entry returned and opened fire on the crowd waiting outside.
The drive-by shooting which happened on the 3000 block of Kaibab Avenue, near East Owens Avenue, killed 18-year-old Erick Roque and 20-year-old Efrian Guevara and left a third person wounded.

On July 13, 2024, Surveillance cameras first showed Noah Sierra and Jesus Martin-Guerrero walking up to the party venue with a group of friends. The party had been promoted heavily on social media, however, when they reached the gate, a bodyguard stopped them from going inside.
The teens started arguing with the person hosting the party before they left, and investigators believe that after being turned away, the two teenagers conspired to shoot the party host.
Surveillance footage then captured the group returning in a stolen vehicle and slowly driving up to the front of the house where the party was happening.
Moments later, Martin-Guerrero fired 13 rounds into the crowd from the passenger side window, striking three people. Both Sierra and Martin-Guerrero were 16 years old at the time and investigators uspected they were gang members.
Las Vegas Metro police launched an investigation into the incident and it eventually led to the arrest of the two teenagers.
In February 2026, Sierra and Martin-Guerrero both pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Clark County District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt handed down their sentences on the same day they entered their pleas and each teenager received 30 years to life in prison.
This means that the earliest either can be considered for parole is after three decades.
Both teenagers addressed the victim’s family in court and they apologized for their actions before learning their fate. Also, the families of the two men who died attended the court hearing and they were given time for their impact statements.
In an official statement provided to a local news outlet, Guevara’s mother said, “I could never forgive the animals that took my son’s life. May God continue to punish every single one of all of them.”
Olivia Fabian, Roque’s mother, previously told the same news outlet, “We think as a family that whatever happened to him should’ve never have happened. This kid should’ve been arrested a long time before this even happened.”
Sierra and Martin-Guerrero were also sentenced for a separate case that charged them with attempted murder. They received 8 to 20 years in prison for that case, but the judge ordered those sentences to run at the same time as their murder convictions.
