DNA Revelation: Israeli Man Admits Killing Ugandan Wife After DNA Revealed He Was Not The Father of Their Six-Month-Old Daughter

In a tragic and shocking incident in Uganda, a 58-year-old Israeli citizen, Raed Wated, has been arrested by police for confessing to the murder of his wife, Monica Nabukenya, aged 25.

The arrest came after Wated revealed that he killed his wife upon discovering her apparent infidelity through a DNA test that proved he was not the biological father of their six-month-old daughter.

Authorities in Mpigi District detained Wated on Sunday after his wife's relatives reported her Missing.

Following his confession, investigators were led to a septic pit where Nabukenya's decomposing body was found, covered with metal bars that had been welded shut.

Reports suggest that the couple's relationship soured due to Wated's suspicions of Nabukenya's infidelity.

The DNA test results confirmed his doubts, leading to a heated confrontation that tragically culminated in her murder.

Nabukenya, who operated a village supermarket, had left their shared home after the dispute but returned for a visit at Wated's request, hoping for reconciliation.

Her family grew concerned when they lost contact with her for three days, prompting them to contact the police. The grim discovery was made when the police arrived at Wated's residence.

According to Dauda Hirigi Were, the Katonga Regional Police commander, Wated confessed to the murder, stating that having a child with another man was an abomination in their culture.

The village residents were shocked by the devastating turn of events. Nabukenya's sister, Royce Nayiga, expressed disbelief at the tragedy, hoping that the couple would reconcile their differences peacefully.

Richard Ddumba, the chairperson of Kalagala Village, recalled Wated's intention to divorce his wife months before the incident, as rumors swirled about the baby's paternity.

Wated had been a resident of Uganda for about a decade after purchasing land and building a house. The case remains under investigation as the community grapples with the aftermath of this heart-wrenching and fatal dispute.
