In a courageous act of self-defense, a woman fought back and protected her home when she became the target of four robbery suspects in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Taking matters into her own hands, the woman began shooting after discovering the four men inside her apartment, prompting the robbers to quickly flee the scene.
Police responded to the incident on the 4900 block of Germantown Avenue at around 1:30 am on Sunday.
They found the woman outside, standing over 48-year-old Jermaine Parker, who had sustained gunshot wounds to his hand and leg.
Shortly afterward, officers located 45-year-old Randy Miller a few blocks away, with a gunshot wound to his back.
Both suspects were taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment and later charged with burglary and related offenses.
Additionally, a weapon was recovered at the scene.
As of now, authorities are still searching for the other two individuals involved in the attempted robbery.

The woman's actions have been deemed self-defense by the police, and she will not face any charges related to the incident.
