From prison to arrest : Formerly imprisoned Myon Burrell arrested for drug and gun possession after 18 years of incarceration

Myon Burrell, who spent 18 years in prison before being released, has been arrested for drug and gun possession.

Burrell was set free in 2020 after his sentence was commuted in a high-profile murder case.

The arrest occurred when an officer on routine patrol noticed an SUV veering out of its lane and followed it.

The SUV was driving erratically, above the speed limit, and crossed the lane divider, prompting the officer to make a stop.

Burrell, the driver of the vehicle, was identified, and a loaded handgun was found within his reach.

Additionally, unpackaged marijuana and other suspected drugs were discovered in the SUV.

Burrell was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of possession of a handgun by a prohibited person, and further charges of driving while intoxicated and drug possession may be added.

In another news, a family of four including four, including two toddlers were found dead under very mysterious circumstances. See detailed story here.
