Heroic Intervention Turns Violent: Man Beaten with Bat for Stopping A Dog Abuse



A man in New York City was brutally beaten with a wooden bat after trying to intervene and stop someone from abusing a dog. 

The incident occurred in the Bronx when the victim, a good Samaritan, stepped in to stop his alleged assailant from mistreating the dog. 


The assailant, identified as Rubin Bartley, attacked the victim, knocking him to the ground. 

Bartley then retrieved a wooden bat from his car and continued the assault, breaking the victim's jaw. 


The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face and head, but is in stable condition. 

Bartley was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of attempted murder and assault.
