Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, the ex-wife of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan, has been arrested and charged with his murder.
Police body camera footage shows her arrest at her home in West Richland, Washington, on August 17, 2023.
She was indicted by a Duval County grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, and child abuse.
Two co-defendants, Henry Tenon and Mario Fernandez Saldana, Gardner's current husband, were arrested in the case earlier this year.
Bridegan was shot while driving home after dropping off his 9-year-old twin children, whom he shared with Gardner, at the home she shared with Fernandez-Saldana.
His body was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the road along Sanctuary Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach on February 16, 2022.
He was shot several times in front of his 2-year-old, who was still strapped to a car seat in the back seat.
The suspects face a count of child abuse because the shooting put Bridegan's daughter in danger.
Gardner-Fernandez has denied any wrongdoing in the murder. However, she was indicted by a Duval County grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, and child abuse.
The charges stem from allegations that she hatched a murder-for-hire plot with her second husband, Mario Fernandez, to kill Bridegan by hiring Henry Tenon to shoot him.
In another news, hospital colleagues of convicted child killer, Lucy Letby say they believe the accused is innocent and that she is being framed by the hospital authorities. See detailed story here.
