Lewisham Stabbing Update: Suspect in Custody, as Police Names The Victim As Julian Ebanks-Ford


In Lewisham, a heart-wrenching incident took place involving the stabbing of a 20-year-old man named Julian Ebanks-Ford. 


The unfortunate event occurred on Friday, 4th August, at Kender Street, near the junction with Queen's Road, SE15. 

The police were called to the scene at around 12:58 a.m. where they found Julian suffering from knife injuries.

Despite being rushed to a south London hospital in critical condition by the London Ambulance Service, Julian tragically passed away that afternoon, despite the valiant efforts of medical personnel. 


The police have reached out to his family and are offering them support through specialized officers during this difficult time.

Heading the investigation is Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood from the Met's Specialist Crime Command. 

In connection with the murder, a 19-year-old man was taken into police custody on suspicion of the crime on Saturday, 5th August.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood is urging witnesses to come forward, particularly those who were present in the area of Kender Street at the time of the incident.
