Search for Sinethemba Mbikanye: Cape Town Student Vanishes Without a Trace, Family and Police Seek Help To Find Her

In Cape Town, South Africa, a woman is searching desperately for her 20-year-old sister, Sinethemba Mbikanye, a first-year CPUT student who went missing on July 5.

Sinethemba was last seen leaving her home in Enkanini, Khayelitsha. She told her family that she was going to visit someone in Philippi, but she didn't reveal the person's name or their relationship to her.

After nearly two weeks of no news, Sinethemba's sister Nokubonga Mbikanye, accompanied by the Nyanga police and a local radio station, conducted a search in the area but unfortunately found no trace of her.

They received some information that she might be using a new Facebook account with the name Innocentia Sne.

New facebook account allegedly belonging to Sinethemba

Following a conversation with one of her friends on that account, they were led to a man's house in Site C, Khayelitsha.

The man, who had spent time with Sinethemba, mentioned that she left to go to Killarney, claiming that it was her hometown.

They attempted to call her but were unable to get through. Subsequently, the man's phone went straight to voicemail.

Sinethemba Mbikanye was reported missing at Harare SAPS, and the police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, stated that the investigation is ongoing, with photos of her being circulated on July 19.

However, Sinethemba has not been found yet, and the search continues as her family and the police seek answers to her sudden disappearance.
