Teenage Boy, Kevarnie Queen Found Guilty of 22 Rape Counts Against Multiple Victims

A teenager has been found guilty of committing 22 rape offenses against six different victims.

The teenager, named Kevarnie Queen, who is 19 years old and lives on Barrington Road, SW9, was declared guilty after a trial at Inner London Crown Court.

Queen has been held in custody and is scheduled to face sentencing on October 13 at the same court.

Detective Constable Jennie Seward, who was investigating the case, expressed strong disapproval of Queen's actions.

She emphasized that Queen's disregard for the young women's rights and his lack of respect for them were disgraceful. He treated these women as if they were objects for his own pleasure.

The bravery of the young women who were attacked by Queen is truly inspiring. Despite the challenges of participating in a police investigation and attending court, these courageous women stepped forward.

Their actions likely prevented similar incidents from happening to others.

The court learned that Queen had met almost all of the victims through social media, using the name 'K1' as his username. He manipulated these victims and proceeded to commit the crimes.

These offenses took place over a three-year span, starting from May 2019 when Queen was 15 years old, up until 2022 when he turned 18.

Before May 2022, police had received several reports of sexual offenses involving Queen. Unfortunately, the victims couldn't provide formal interviews or support investigations due to their emotional state.

However, on June 7, 2022, Queen was arrested on suspicion of rape after a report was made to the police on May 31, 2022. The victim felt prepared to make a formal report and support a criminal investigation.

Subsequently, officers contacted the previous victims, and five of them agreed to support the investigation with the assistance of specialist officers.

During the investigation, unsettling details about Queen's actions emerged. Some victims were taken by Queen to tower blocks, where he sexually assaulted them in communal stairwells.

Others mentioned being in relationships where they were emotionally manipulated, which allowed Queen to downplay the abuse.

Queen preyed on his victims, convincing them that the sexual abuse they experienced was a normal aspect of a relationship.

Queen's defense claimed that the victims had conspired against him due to his infidelity, but this defense was proven false.

Detective Constable Lena Kraemer stressed that efforts are being made to ensure that sexual predators endangering women and girls are held accountable.

She urged victims of sexual offenses to come forward, even if it seems daunting. She assured them that their voices would be heard with the support of the police.

Detective Inspector Ian Kenward, the Senior Investigating Officer, expressed his satisfaction with the conviction.

He praised the courage of the young women targeted by Queen, which led to the removal of a dangerous offender from the streets.
