Escape in Chef's Clothing: London on High Alert as Suspected Terrorist Daniel Abed Khalife Escapes from Prison, Manhunt Underway

A significant manhunt is in progress as authorities search for a suspected terrorist who managed to escape from a London prison.

The fugitive in question is Daniel Abed Khalife (Pictured above), a former British Army soldier, who is believed to have executed his daring escape by clinging onto a food delivery van while disguised in a chef's uniform.

The alarm regarding Khalife's disappearance was raised this morning when he was reported missing from HMP Wandsworth, a Category B prison.

It is believed that the escape occurred at approximately 7.50am.

Khalife, who is only 21 years old, was incarcerated while awaiting trial for a series of serious charges related to terrorism and offenses under the Official Secrets Act.

These charges include an incident in which he placed canisters with wires on a desk at an RAF base, creating an apparent bomb hoax.

In response to the escape, an alert has been issued to all UK ports and airports, with reports of heightened security at border control checkpoints.

Authorities are actively searching for Khalife, who has known connections to Kingston.

While it is suspected that he is most likely still in London, there is also the possibility that he may have traveled to other locations.

Who is Daniel Khalife?

Daniel Abed Khalife is a 21-year-old former serviceman who successfully escaped from Wandsworth Prison.

At the time of his arrest in January, he was a member of the British Army's Royal Corps of Signals and stationed at Beacon Barracks in Stafford.

Khalife faced charges related to terrorism and explosives offenses connected to two incidents in Staffordshire.

The first incident involved his alleged attempt to gather information about an individual associated with His Majesty's forces, with the intention of aiding terrorism. This incident took place in August 2021.

The second incident revolved around Khalife leaving canisters with wires, creating a false impression that they could explode or ignite, at MOD Stafford on January 2.

Khalife pleaded not guilty to both charges in July during proceedings at the Old Bailey and was scheduled to stand trial.

However, the shocking turn of events unfolded when Khalife managed to escape from the kitchen area of HMP Wandsworth by clinging onto a food delivery van.

A massive manhunt is presently ongoing as at the time of this report.
